Eleanor Rand awarded prestigious F31 National Research Service Award

Congratulations to Eleanor Rand, who was awarded a predoctoral F31 NRSA from NIAID to support her thesis project, the “Targeted discovery of bacteriophages by co-culture.”
Ellie is a graduate student in the Systems, Synthetic, and Quantitative Biology Program and member of Michael Baym's lab. With the award, she plans to develop a useful method for phage discovery that can help researchers in a range of fields from ecology to clinical phage therapies.
