The LSP is the primary research component of the Harvard Program in Therapeutic Sciences, a non-departmental research and education program at Harvard University. The LSP faculty comprises instructors and professors with their primary appointments in academic institutions in Eastern Massachusetts and senior research scientists who direct the LSP technology platforms. Our faculty currently come from Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, Tufts University, MIT, Northeastern University, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Funding and Support

Constructing and equipping the LSP was made possible by two capital grants from the Massachusetts Life Science Center and support from the Giovanni Armenise Harvard Foundation. Research in the lab is supported by a generous gift from Belinda and Henri Termeer.

Individual research projects in the LSP are funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Defense Advanced Projects Agency (DARPA), Ludwig Cancer Research, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Gray Foundation and the Harvard Medical School Q-FASTR Program.

Multi-investigator Federal grants include NIH-NCI grants P50-GM107618, U2C-CA233262, U54-CA225088 and U54-HL127365 and DARPA grants HR0011-19-2-0022, HR00111990009 and W911NF-15-1-0544. See individual research projects for additional details.
