Software Engineer for Cloud-based Image Management and Visualization

The senior software engineer will develop key software components for web-based cancer atlases that use cloud technologies, machine learning, and human-machine interfaces to integrate high dimensional imaging and clinical data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, significant experience with Python programming, and an interest in advancing human health in an entrepreneurial academic setting. The project involves scientists and engineers from multiple universities and companies developing new tissue imaging technologies, and is part of a multi-institution initiative funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Scientific Programmer for Biomedical Image Analysis

The scientific programmer will be involved in a wide array of projects investigating the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, tuberculosis, Alzheimer’s Disease, and COVID-19, and will report to the LSP Director of Informatics and Modeling. The scientific programmer will support the acquisition and analysis of highly multiplexed images of cells, tissues, and tumors, and the ideal applicant will have familiarity with biomedical or quantitative science and a strong interest in working with researchers in basic biology and medicine. Microscopy Career Scientist Position in Spatial Profiling and Tissue Imaging

The PhD-level microscopist will join an interdisciplinary team focused on the use of 2D and 3D highly-multiplexed imaging of cells, tissues, and tumors, conventional and spatial transcriptomics, and the use of software tools based on machine-learning. The applicant must have a PhD in a natural science or biomedical engineering and research experience in cell, tissue or developmental biology, or related disciplines that involve extensive use of optical microscopes. Ideal candidates will have experience in both microscopy instrumentation and computational data analysis and familiarity with (or a readiness to learn) best practices in image acquisition and data processing. Reporting to the Director of Microscopy and Computer Vision, this position is an outstanding alternative to a postdoc (or second postdoc) for an individual who thrives on scientific challenges and seeks to work as part of an interdisciplinary academic team. This position is available with a flexwork option for applicants living in or planning to relocate to a location commuting distance to campus (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire). At least three days per week of on-site work at the HMS campus in Boston MA is required however.

Assistant Director of ICCB-Longwood Screening Facility

The Assistant Director will advise screeners and oversee staff involved at all stages of the ICCB-L workflow. This includes high-throughput assay development, laboratory automation, screen execution, data analysis and visualization, website management, and implementation of facility policies. The ICCB-L Assistant Director will also work closely with the Director to complete administrative responsibilities including facility access, grant applications, progress reports and budget management.
